My Free Bible Resources (A New Way To Browse Them)

Last month on Pisteuomen, I mentioned some of the free resources that I have created in the past. Well, since I have created a new tool to browse through some of those resources, I thought I'd go ahead and mention them again. Besides, I've had a number of new readers latch on to Pisteuomen since then, so, if you're one of them, check out some of the free stuff below: (Click the photo to download the free product.)

Das Alphabet: My Free German Alphabet Module

Along with my Hebrew, Aramaic & Greek alphabet modules, I have now created a German one. The program, rendered as an .swf / flash file is free to download and share. As a flash file, it is user-friendly and very interactive. Pronunciation of German letters can be both vizualized and heard in this module. In addition to posting about it here, I have added a permanent link on the "My Free Bible Resources" page of this site. Click on the "das alphabet" screenshot or icon below to download. Enjoy. Free (Aramaic) Bible Study Resource

Image
The time has come to add another free bible study resource that I have created to my site. The resource is called "Aramaic AlapBeth 1.0". This is an incredibly easy-to-use module that allows you to learn the Aramaic alphabet through repetition and interaction. The module can act like a flashcard program, it is written in Aramaic script, it contains audio of the complete Aramaic alphabet, it has English transliterations and at various points, offers a number of helpful tips. The resource is tellware, which means that it is completely free of cost. However, if you download it, all I ask is that you tell at least two other people about it. You can find a couple of links to the study tool at the bottom of this post. Also, a permanent link/banner has been added to the right hand column of this site, which will remain there. Please, if you download this resource, let me know what you think. Enjoy!!! Alt. Link (.exe file)

Why Pisteuomen?

The title of this post can be taken a few different ways. It could be taken in the sense of, Why did you name the blog Pisteuomen and what does it mean? Pisteuomen is a Greek word that means "we believe." The "we" connotes "community." This actually leads to another way that the title of this post could be taken: Why did you start Pisteuomen? Actually, I created Pisteuomen thinking that it would be a site where people's faiths / beliefs could be edified when they visited. While I still desire for that to happen, there is yet another aspect of "Why Pisteuomen?" that has come into being. I should begin by saying that for me, my blog is not primarily concerned with self-promotion or self-publication (inevitably, though, self-publication is a part of any blog; every blogger wants to get their name out there and to get their site promoted, however, the reasons behind such motivations vary considerably). Pisteuomen has increasingly been taking on ...
