Rosemary Ruether, Herbert Krosney & Bart Ehrman

I found a couple of good deals at a Bargain Bookstore recently. Here are the two titles I picked up: (1) Sexism and God-Talk: Toward a Feminist Theology, (2) The Lost Gospel: The Quest for the Gospel of Judas Iscariot. Anybody ever read either of these? If so, what are some of your thoughts?

If you've ever wanted to know the connection between Feminism and Socialism/Communism, Ruether spells it out pretty well. Especially check out the chapter "the new earth".

Crevo,
I've never really thought about the connection but I'm sure I'll get to that part sooner or later. Thanks.

I've read (most of) the Ruether book and was pretty disappointed with it.

Since I began identifying as a feminist some years ago, I used to get quite puzzled as to why it seemed so difficult for feminism to make advances within theology and biblical studies. Once I actually read some Ruether and Schussler-Fiorenza, I began to see that some of the go-to authors make acceptance more difficult than it could be (NB: 'could' does not equal 'should'!).
